Band
Sinners Moon, a symphonic metal band founded in Sered, a small town in Slovakia started as a solo project of guitar player and composer Lukas and his vocal companion and friend Derick. After a while Lukas and Derick decided to focus mainly on Sinners Moon and started to look for members for the band. After a few ups and downs they put together the first official lineup with Lukas, Derick, vocalist Andrea, keyboard player Jarthuusen, bass player Viktor and drummer Matej. It took another year and half and few sudden changes on the post of a drummer (Matej was replaced by Andrej) to get things settled and works on official release has become reality.
Current lineup
Later in 2022, Lukas thought of ending the band with a few little ideas in mind and no new finished songs, seemed like a burnout and THE end. Everything has changed suddenly after they invited a keyboard player Klaudia for a chat and after that they decided to give it a try. Michal, bassist and Flavio, growl screamer from Klaudia´s former band Dusk Within hopped on board and Lukas started to write new songs in a lightspeed. In 2023 the whole concept for a new release has been completed and demos recorded soon after that. Now this is 2024 and we are ready to get on the train again, with our new lineup (Šárka, Klaudia, Patrik, Michal and Lukas) with some new awesome stuff, a record in process called DEEP DARK EMOTIONS . . .
Atlantis and Far Beyond The Stars ERA
Atlantis, the first full length album was recorded and produced in Zvolenska Slatina by no one else then Mr. Roland Grapow, ex-Helloween guitarist who helped to set the sound of this release. Lukas invited his long time friend Mort on a position of a drummer for this recording after Andrej left the band for school. Simona, a fresh singer from Nitra came on board as a replacement for Andrea who had too little time for attending the shows. Simona also re-recorded previously recorded vocals for Atlantis in a different, much more dynamic way that band liked a lot. Sinners Moon also worked with Sonata Arctica´s Tony Kakko who recorded his vocal parts for a song called My Servant. In april 2015 they put a Atlantis release party where Sinners Moon played whole Atlantis album with new drummer Jan and they put together a few additional non album songs. Roland Grapow also attended the party and had a great time with the band. After the release, they stood up on stage with names such as Haggard or Orphaned Land, also attended huge festivals such as Topfest in Slovakia or Made Of Metal in Czech Republic. Not long after that, they recorded second release in 2017, EP called Far Beyond The Stars followed by a same titled videoclip. After some shows in 2017 and 2018 Viktor, Jan and Simona decided to leave the band and follow their own music goals in life. It took another 6 months to find an adequate replacement in Šárka, a lead singer from Brno and Števo a bassist from Nitra and Patrik, a friend and a drummer from Cífer. After a show in Sered in 2020 together they recorded a song called Tonight with a video clip which was a goodbye song for a long time keyboardist, Jarthuusen who wanted to take a break from the music and Števo, who preferred the focus on his primal band and Derick who´s dedication for the family and his son became his sole priority.
